Sorusto is clearly situated within Zush's most characteristic graphic universe, in a stage in which drawing functions as a primary territory of psychic and symbolic invention. The work presents a hybrid, floating entity of unstable anatomy, built from nervous lines, organic wefts and almost cartographic signs. Face, eye, mouth and embryonic forms are superimposed without hierarchy, generating an ambiguous image, halfway between creature, mental map and organism in mutation.

The use of pencil and ink allows for an extremely sensitive register of gesture: very fine, reiterated, almost obsessive lines coexist with denser areas that suggest concentrated energy or nuclei of consciousness. There is no background or defined space; the figure seems suspended in a mental void, reinforcing the sensation of interiority and process rather than finished representation. The drawing does not describe, but reveals: it is a direct manifestation of a psychic state.

Zush, later known as Evru, is one of the most singular artists of Spanish contemporary art. Initially linked to the environment of surrealism and psychedelic art, he developed from a very young age his own universe based on the exploration of identity, the mind and the subconscious. His work encompasses drawing, painting, writing, digital media and the creation of symbolic languages. Represented in important international collections and museums, his career is characterized by a constant investigation of the self as an artistic territory.
