Painter and draftsman of self-taught formation, Joaquim Biosca was related during the first stage of his career with the group Els Negres, headed by Manuel Ainaud. Later he evolved towards a painting influenced by Isidro Nonell, and from 1906 he exhibited regularly in Barcelona. He also showed his work, mainly focused on portraits and landscapes, in Madrid and Paris. He is currently represented in several private collections.
