Miguel Gallardo was a cartoonist and illustrator considered a key figure of underground comics in Barcelona in the 70s and 80s and co-creator of the iconic character Makoki with Juan Mediavilla; over time he evolved towards a more personal and emotional style, achieving great recognition with works such as María y yo (2007), where he narrates his relationship with his daughter with autism, becoming a reference for his sensitivity and contribution to the artistic and social dissemination.
