Jorge Romero is a contemporary artist based in Madrid. His work focuses on the study of light from a mostly monochromatic approach, where color is translated into lights, shadows and intense hallmarks. Through expressionism and chiaroscuro, he explores "the non-visible", incorporating darkness as an essential part of the image and what it hides, beyond the purely aesthetic or technical.

Jorge Romero is a Colombian painter based in Spain since 2008. After an initial training in Communication Sciences and a solid professional career in the field of advertising and graphic design -first in Venezuela and later in Barcelona and Madrid-, his direct contact with Pop Art during a project for a Madrid gallery in 2014 marked the decisive return to painting. Since then, he has developed a personal body of work focused on the exploration of light, contrast and the presence of the human figure as a space of conflict. His work has been presented in international contexts such as the Salon International d'Art Contemporain de Paris and in exhibitions and projects linked to contemporary galleries and platforms in Madrid, consolidating a recognizable pictorial discourse within current figuration.
