DESCRIPTION
VICENTE BORRÁS ABELLA (Valencia, 1867 – Barcelona, 1945).

Measurements: 8 x 8 cm, 21 x 21 cm (frame).
He was a professor at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. He began his training under his father, the painter Vicente Borrás y Mompó. He participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions, winning third prizes at the National Exhibitions of 1890 and 1892, second prize in 1897 for the painting titled ¡Absueltos! (Acquitted!), and an award at the 1895 edition. He was also awarded a second prize at the 1900 Paris World’s Fair. His works are characterized by their intense luminosity and vibrant color palette.
