Jaimes Roy was born in 1975 in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. He began studying painting at the age of ten. By the age of fourteen, his art was refined and guided by Master Pons Tous. He studied for five years at the School of Art (National University of Córdoba). He lived in Palma de Mallorca for a year, working at various local art galleries. He took a course to refine his technique at The Central Academy of Art in New York. His work is currently part of the permanent collection of the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain. His work was selected to be part of the Salón del Tango from among more than 5,000 participants (1997, Palais de Glace, Buenos Aires). He received the special award from the Argentine Chamber of Construction (1997, Córdoba). He received a Special Mention from the Jury at the 7th Biennial of Sacred Art of the Diocese of Morón (1998, Buenos Aires). Honorable Mentions at the Auton Salon Latin American Art Museum (2002, Miami, USA). His work has been selected to be part of the Salon Figurativas 2023 at the European Museum of Modern Art (2023, Barcelona, Spain).
