An illustrator, lithographer, and watercolorist, Roig trained in Barcelona as a student of Enric Piquer and completed his studies at an art academy in Gràcia. He was an illustrator for the most prominent weekly magazines of the time, such as “La Fama,” “La Tomassa,” and “L’Esquella de la Torratxa.” He was a member of the Artistic Circle and an honorary member of the Watercolorists’ Association.
