Set of 8 ceiling or wall lamps of 70's design by German designer Rolf Krüger for the company Staff. The luminaire features a mounting base concealed by a chrome cover plate.

Rolf Krüger, winner of the If Design Award in 1968, was undoubtedly one of Staff's most important designers, with whom he produced many of his designs. He was known for his elegant and award-winning Space Age lighting. He trained in free and applied arts at the Heinrich Zernack School in Berlin, before attending the Meisterschule für das Kunsthandwerk (now Berlin University of the Arts) from 1960 to 1964. For Staff he also designed the iconic Cross Oyster recessed ceiling light, which was displayed on the Mercedes-Benz stand at the 1970 Geneva International Motor Show. Between the 1960s and 1970s he also collaborated with lighting manufacturer Heinz Neuhaus Leuchten. Throughout his career as a designer, Krüger has received more than 30 awards, including several iF Design awards. His lighting pieces are part of the collections of the Landesmuseen Schleswig-Holstein, the Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf, the Design Museum in Munich and the Kunstgewerbemuseum of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
