The Italian design of the seventies remains attentive to the aesthetic guidelines governing European design: the tendency to privilege rounded and enveloping shapes, flat colors.
Lamperti, an influential Italian firm, left a significant mark on lighting design from the 1960s to the 1990s. Its creations, markedly innovative and sculptural, embodied the aesthetics of mid-century Modernism and the vibrant Space Age style, achieving a perfect balance between functionality and art.
