BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
Pair of BAUHAUS armchairs, 30-40s.
Chromed tubing, wood and floral upholstery.
They show signs of wear due to use and age.
Measurements: 80 x 80 x 60 cm.
The pair of armchairs in tender is a clear representative of the Bauhaus School, as it combines different materials such as wood (in a simplified form, showing its natural grain and with a clean finish) and chromed tubular steel (a very distinctive innovation of the school). The geometric shapes and clean lines respond to the motto "Less is More" that sums up the Bauhaus philosophy. The armchairs seek maximum expression with minimal elements.
