Rare offered desk in teak/oak, freestanding desk with drawer pull-out. This mid-century desk combines the sturdiness of teak and oak with a clear Danish accent design. The piece stands out for its Bambi-style legs (typically Scandinavian) and its handcrafted finish. Its lines are fluid but maintain elegantly angular profiles at the top and waist, reflecting the more avant-garde models of the 1950s. With two drawer fronts, this design combines functionality and aesthetics to create a captivating workbench.
Ib Kofod-Larsen was a Danish designer who was active primarily during the 1950s and 1960s, creating pieces today that are even more desirable than when they were produced. Kofod-Larsen designed mainly storage and seating furniture for the Swedish market, although he did not achieve great success in his time because his organic design was too extreme for the taste of his time. In Denmark, on the other hand, his creations for the firm Faarup gained immediate recognition.
