DESCRIPTION
RODOLFO DUBARRY (Argentina).
Coffee table. Carey" Collection. Spain, late 70's.
Acid-etched finish and embossed brass.
Transparent glass top.
Measurements: 46 x 100 x 80 cm.
This coffee table belongs to the Carey collection, edited by the Argentine designer Rodolfo Dubarry in the late 1970's in Spain. It is a representative piece of the decorative and sophisticated aesthetic that characterized Dubarry's work, in which noble materials and handcrafted finishes are combined with a design of pure lines and balanced proportions.
The structure is made of brass with an acid-etched and embossed finish, a treatment that generates a textured and warm surface, with golden hues and irregular reflections that add visual depth. This handcrafted finish, distinctive of the designer, gives each piece a unique and sculptural character.
The tabletop is made of transparent glass, which visually lightens the whole and allows the richness of the metalwork to be appreciated. The combination of the colorless glass and the aged tone of the brass creates an elegant and timeless contrast, adapting to both contemporary and classic interiors.
