DESCRIPTION
French floor lamp, ca.1960
Wrought iron.
Lampshades of welded iron strips.
With integrated magazine rack and flowerpot.
Measurements: 184 x 49 x 49 cm.
French made floor lamp. Made in the sixties, it is a piece of modern design that combines functionality and sculptural aesthetics. It is made of wrought iron, with a slender and elegant structure that supports two conical lampshades made of welded iron strips, painted in different colors (one in blue and the other in green), which gives it a vibrant and contrasting touch.
The circular iron base supports a vertical body that integrates two functional compartments: a magazine rack at the bottom, formed by metal rods arranged at an angle, and a planter or small container in between, also in iron.
Its design reflects the spirit of French mid-century modern, characterized by clean lines, industrial materials and a fusion of art and utility.
