This armchair of enveloping lines is one of Henk Vos' most emblematic and recognizable designs. With a minimalist style, it rests on steel legs with a lenticular section.
Henk Vos studied interior architecture at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam. Since 1963, he and his family have run a leading interior design institute in Groningen. He has had a successful career as an industrial designer for well-known firms, including Linteloo, Hugues Chevalier and the Dutch Gelderland Group. He defends a very defined aesthetic criterion and does not hesitate to express his opinion frankly. His motto, "better empty than ugly", sums up the philosophy of a creator whose pieces endure thanks not only to their timeless beauty, but also to the use of high-quality materials. Vos' concern for the environment is reflected in designs such as his famous table created for VNU, conceived with a hollow center to minimize material waste.
