The piece presented for bidding is fundamental in the ideology of Lothar Klute, as it exemplifies the fusion of his design principles: visible structure, constructive minimalism and formal simplicity. The table is supported by four molded legs, highlighted by their bases and "knees". On this base rests a leaded glass top, embellished with gouaches.
Although we know little about the life of Lothar Klutte, we know that he was born in Germany and dedicated himself to the design of furniture and lighting, opting for a brutalist style with a refined elegance. In his designs he combined bronze and glass, making his style unique and unmistakable. The tender lamp rises on an organic-looking triple foot, from which emerges a long shaft with subtle bulbous protuberances.
