DESCRIPTION
Set of four chairs, ca. 1960.
Lacquered wood and bulrush.
Measurements: 80 x 43 x 43 cm; 45 cm (seat height).
This chair model is a classic of the furniture of the sixties and seventies. Handcrafted, the structure of these chairs is made of lacquered wood and bulrush. It combines cylindrical uprights with flat crossbeams. The seat and backrest are made of braided bulrush. Its design resembles Charlotte Perriand's reinterpretation of the traditional French chair in the "Bauche n. 19" and "Dordogne" models. Its formal and material austerity brings a warm counterpoint to modern interiors.
