This exceptional "Rocafort" lamp, designed in 1983 by Javier Mariscal and Pepe Cortés for BD Barcelona Design, belongs to the historic collection Muebles Muy Formales, one of the most experimental and influential chapters of Spanish design in the 1980s.

The piece is also a unique testimony of the collaboration between two key figures of the Spanish creative scene: on the one hand, Mariscal, known for his playful and expressive graphic language, contributes here the most iconic visual gesture of design -the red zigzag-, conceived almost as a drawing suspended in space. On the other hand, Pepe Cortés, master of constructive rigor and functionality, structures the lamp with a sober and precise metallic architecture, giving it balance and sculptural presence.

The result is a work where artistic spontaneity and industrial discipline merge, combining the austerity of metal with a vibrant line and a delicate upper element of blue glass, in full postmodern spirit.

Extremely difficult to find and produced in very few units, this is a highly coveted lamp, now considered a true collector's item in contemporary Spanish design.
