Modular wall system conceived as a prototype for the architect Alfredo Arribas, representative of the architectural approach to furniture developed in Spain at the end of the 20th century. This type of structure responds to a functional and rational language, where the design is understood as an extension of the built space and not as a mere decorative object.
Modularity and the possibility of height adjustment allow for a completely flexible configuration, adapting to different storage and wall composition needs. Its open and constructive character refers to the tradition of modern European design, in which iron and wood are combined in light, versatile solutions with a strong architectural presence.
Alfredo Arribas held relevant positions in design institutions, as president of ARQ-INFAD and vice-president of FAD, receiving its medal in 1990. His work, widely published and awarded with several FAD awards, includes outstanding projects such as the Velvet Bar in Barcelona or the Nagasaki aquarium. Among his most representative designs are the Lane Greystoke (1990) and Pila (1995) chairs.
