Trolley designed by Mathieu Matégot in France in the 1950s, a representative example of the light and functional furniture developed in post-war Europe. Matégot's work is distinguished by the innovative use of perforated sheet metal and metal structures, creating pieces of great visual lightness and marked graphic identity.
These trolleys, conceived as versatile furniture for the modern home, reflect the optimistic and practical spirit of French mid-century design, where industry and decorative aesthetics are integrated into everyday objects of great formal quality.
Matégot was a French-Hungarian designer, one of the most prominent French designers of the 1950s. He is currently represented in important collections such as the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Centre Georges Pompidou in the same city, etc.
