DESCRIPTION
Onírica Dalí" chair for Galarina.
Six-legged model, Dalí's favorite.
French beech wood painted red.
Reissue completely faithful to the original design.
This is the re-edition of the legendary Salvador Dalí's favorite six-legged chair. This unique design was produced by his trusted carpenter and photographer, Joan Vehí, based on the iconic Catalan chair. Salvador Dalí found in this piece the perfect antidote to the rigidity of conventional design, turning it into the setting for his surrealist universe. Its constant presence in the iconographic archive of the genius is no coincidence: it was his true creative sanctuary.
The Onirica chair defies conventional proportions without renouncing master craftsmanship. Its silhouette, characterized by a lowered seat and a generously wide backrest, becomes a manifesto of ergonomics and visual pleasure. It is a piece where art and functionality converge to create a refuge designed, literally, for rest and introspection.
It is estimated that this design dates from the early twentieth century, although there are references that suggest its appearance in pictorial works in the late nineteenth century, which reinforces its historical relevance. Several original copies are preserved today in the Salvador Dalí House-Museum in Portlligat, forming part of the domestic and creative legacy of the brilliant artist.
This reedition is completely faithful to the original design and has been made by Spanish craftsmen in French beech wood, meeting the highest standards of quality and finish.
A masterpiece that combines history, art and craftsmanship, ideal for collectors and design lovers looking for pieces with authenticity and a deep cultural legacy.
