These columns are a masterful example of the geometric rigor and the sumptuousness of materials typical of the French Art Deco of the 1920s, although it is a creation of the 70s-80s. Its design immediately evokes the aesthetics of masters such as Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann or Jules Leleu, where architecture is transferred to furniture. The body of the columns features deep vertical fluting, a clear reference to the Doric columns of classical architecture, but reinterpreted with a modern, rationalist cleanliness. The bases are quadrangular and staggered, a recurring visual motif in Art Deco that recalls the ancient ziggurats and skyscrapers of the time.
