Coffee table designed by François Monnet in the 70's, whose aesthetic captures with great success the coexistence between the futurism of space age and the forcefulness of metallic brutalism. Constructed in metal and glass, this side table stands out for its ingenious structure based on bent steel. The work clearly reflects the philosophy of its author: a constant search for functional simplicity without renouncing timeless elegance. In it we can already sense the language that would define Monnet's career, characterized by clean lines, noble materials and a carefully measured sobriety.
Throughout his career, Monnet consolidated an international reputation by collaborating with prestigious firms such as Hermès, Alessi, Ligne Roset and Vitra. In 1989 he founded his own studio, from which he developed projects ranging from furniture to space design, always faithful to his refined and functional approach. His work has been recognized with international awards such as the Red Dot Design Award or the Good Design Award, consolidating his position as a key figure in contemporary Swiss design.
