The Birghitta lamp by Fabio Lenci is characterized by its sculptural and organic design, with a lampshade of rounded and asymmetrical volume in translucent white plastic material, which diffuses the light in a soft and enveloping way, contrasted by a perimeter profile in dark color that emphasizes its irregular silhouette; The light bulb is visible on the inside, adding a more technical and industrial touch, while the whole, supported on a compact base with integrated switch, reflects the experimental and pop language of Italian design of the 1970s, combining fluid shapes, synthetic materials and a playful, futuristic aesthetic.
Fabio Lenci is an Italian architect and designer noted for his work in the field of modern furniture during the 1960s and 1970s, especially linked to the firm Comfort in Italy; his work is characterized by an innovative approach to the use of materials such as chromed steel, polyurethane and glass, as well as bold, geometric or sculptural forms that reflect the radical and experimental aesthetics of Italian design of the time, placing it between rationalism and the most avant-garde currents of industrial design.
