Ceramic and fabric shade.

Measurements: 75 x 50 cm (with shade) 45 x 30 cm (body).
This large handcrafted lamp is part of a design tradition that revalues the formal simplicity and authenticity of materials against standardized industrial production. Its ceramic base, with its rounded volume and matte surface, is evidence of a manual work that preserves the traces of the process, giving it a tactile and organic presence. The almost archetypal shape, a spherical body crowned by a molded neck, refers to traditional pottery typologies, reinterpreted from a modern sensibility that favors geometric purity and balanced proportions.
The fabric shade, in a neutral tone, establishes a harmonious dialogue with the base, softening the incidence of light. This use of natural materials, fired clay and fabric responds to a 20th century trend that, in parallel to modern movements, sought to reconnect the everyday object with the essential. Stylistically, the piece can be placed in the orbit of the applied arts that, from postulates close to Scandinavian design or certain aspects of organic modernism, claim functionality without renouncing material expressiveness. The absence of superfluous ornament does not imply formal poverty, but a conscious and functional purification.
