Interesting coffee table whose name is directly reflected in its formal conception. The piece is composed of two superimposed circular planes that, when displaced, evoke the phenomenon of the eclipse, generating a suggestive game of concealment and appearance between the surfaces.
This formal resource translates into a functional and versatile solution, allowing the configuration of the table to be modified according to the needs of use. Its geometric language, together with the black finish and the metal structure, place the piece within the contemporary design of the eighties, combining formal clarity, dynamism and practicality.
Ramón Isern Falgueras, a renowned industrial designer, formed his first design team in 1967 together with Beth Galí and Gemma Bernal, thus initiating a career marked by innovation and technical rigor. Among his early successes was a hand shower that won a Delta de Oro, a recognition that underscored his ability to fuse design and utility. From 1973 to 1999, Isern worked closely with Bernal, focusing on diverse sectors such as furniture, home furnishings and audio equipment.
