Interesting "Mozart" design desk by Almerich, made in the 1980s, following models inspired by the language of late Art Deco and, in particular, the Streamline Moderne trend developed in the 1930s and 1940s. Its silhouette is defined by curved and aerodynamic lines, configuring a fluid and elegant ensemble conceived to be appreciated from all angles.
The most characteristic element is the upper dome in root wood, with a marked decorative character thanks to its organic grain. This structure integrates small drawers and compartments, combining functionality and aesthetic richness. The work surface, of ample dimensions and rounded edges, is upholstered in leather, providing warmth and a refined finish.
The combination of materials - veneered wood, leather and aluminum legs - establishes an interesting contrast between tradition and modernity. The slender, clean-cut legs are articulated by curved crosspieces that reinforce the visual lightness of the whole.
As a whole, the piece can be understood as a contemporary reinterpretation of Art Deco models from the 1930s and 1940s, where the elegance of the aerodynamic lines and the quality of the materials are adapted to late 20th century design.
