The Hollywood Regency style emerged in the United States between the 1930s and 1950s, closely linked to the Hollywood film industry and the creation of sophisticated interiors for stars and productions. It is a decorative language that combines glamour, theatricality and eclecticism, thought. It is characterized by the use of luxurious materials, glossy lacquers, gilding, mirrors, glass and sumptuous fabrics such as velvet or silk, as well as a predilection for polished surfaces that reflect light. The forms are usually elegant and clean, often inspired by neoclassicism, art deco or even oriental motifs, reinterpreted with a scenographic air.
