Brass metal structure.

Sumptuous ceiling lamp in Murano glass belonging to the model REX 5357 of BAROVIER & TOSO, conceived as a piece of lighting of great visual impact where glass tradition and sophisticated design merge.
The composition is organized around a central structure in gilded brass on which are arranged, radially, multiple petal-shaped glass elements, individually mounted. This deployment generates an organic and enveloping volumetry, in which the light sources - hidden inside (configuration close to 12 lights) - produce a diffuse and atmospheric luminous effect.
The glass, enriched with inclusions of fine gold, provides a warm and nuanced tone, while the surfaces have textures close to the rough technique, with a delicate granulation that softens the light and accentuates the richness of the material. The ensemble is reminiscent of Deco-inspired floral patterns, reinterpreted with a contemporary language characteristic of the firm.

Each of the elements evidences the high technical virtuosity of the Murano workshops, where the individual workmanship of the pieces allows to achieve a formal complexity and a quality difficult to reproduce.

BAROVIER & TOSO, founded in 1942 and heir to a glassmaking tradition documented in Murano since the thirteenth century, was consolidated under the direction of Ercole Barovier as one of the most important firms in the field of artistic glass. Its production stands out for technical innovation and reinterpretation of the classic Venetian models, being today an international benchmark in high-end lighting.
