"Phidea" stands out for its glass top with an oval and biomorphic profile, whose transparency allows to appreciate the lower structural set, formed by polished steel tubes bent with a light and almost arachnid disposition.

The design combines asymmetry, transparency and technical precision, reducing the table to its essential elements without losing sculptural presence. The metal structure, with inclined supports and taut lines, introduces a dynamic rhythm under the smoothness of the glass, giving rise to a piece of great formal ingenuity, characteristic of Sans' experimental gaze.

An architect and designer trained in Barcelona and Germany, Pete Sans turned his attention to design in the 1980s. In 1983 he received an Oscar for the best lighting product at the International Moving Fair in Paris for his "Lamparaprima", and in 1988 he won the Delta de Oro for his "Coqueta" chair. In 1990 he was commissioned to design the furniture for the French Institute in Barcelona and in 1994 he founded his own production company, PeteSans Sistemes Integrals.
