Kinkeldey was consolidated during the 70s as one of the most representative firms of German luxury lighting design. Under the creative direction of Günter Ferdinand Kinkeldey. Specializing in lamps and large chandeliers, Kinkeldey developed its own language based on clean geometric lines, elegant proportions and the use of noble materials such as brass, crystal, cut glass and chromed steel. His designs are characterized by meticulous workmanship and innovative techniques in metal and glass, capable of generating complex lighting effects and visually rich reflections.
One of the most distinctive elements of the manufacture was the use of prisms and faceted glass pieces, which transformed the light into brilliant and dynamic compositions, bringing a sophisticated and theatrical atmosphere to the interiors. Thanks to this fusion of functionality and opulent aesthetics, Kinkeldey lamps became icons of mid-20th century European design.
