Integrated in the famous Archimedes collection, these pieces stand out for the versatility of its design, which incorporates a clamp at the base to easily attach them to the edge of a table or a shelf, allowing multiple uses and positions.

The structure combines black lacquered metal, aluminum shade and adjustable arm in beech wood, in a particularly successful synthesis of functionality, visual lightness and constructive clarity. The articulated system allows the light to be precisely directed, while the composition of taut, geometric lines makes the mechanism an essential part of the object's formal expression. This model reflects Bernal and Isern's interest in a useful, flexible and technically refined design.

Gemma Bernal and Ramón Isern, both trained at EINA, developed an outstanding career in Barcelona industrial design. They began their collaboration in the late sixties with Beth Galí, forming a team linked to product design, furniture and technical innovation. Bernal and Isern collaborated for more than twenty-five years, creating pieces such as the shower-phone, the Ona tableware and the Arquímedes lamp. Both combined their professional activity with teaching, contributing to the development and consolidation of industrial design in Barcelona.
