DESCRIPTION
Armchair, ca. 1960s-70s.
Walnut wood and leather.
Suspended seat and back in leather, with reinforced ties.
Restored. Exhibits wear consistent with age and use and natural wear on the leather.
Armchair made of walnut wood and leather, with a strong handcrafted presence. The design stands out for the tension between the solidity of the wooden structure and the organic flexibility of the leather, which adapts to the body and provides a warm, robust image of great character. The reinforced fastenings, visible in the seat area, underline the constructive character of the piece and reinforce its honest language, close to handcrafted furniture of modern inspiration.
The surface of the leather retains rubbing and variations in tone typical of use, which do not detract from the value of the whole, but rather accentuate its patina and material authenticity.
