Restored. Good general condition, with marks of use.

Pair of Spanish armchairs from the sixties, made of stained pine and braided bulrush. The pieces respond to a tradition of popular furniture with artisan roots, reinterpreted from a formal sobriety very close to the modern taste of the mid-twentieth century.

The structure, with straight lines and robust proportions, contrasts with the manual work of the bulrush, which provides texture, warmth and a marked graphic character. The braiding of the backrest, organized in a geometric composition in the shape of a cross, is the main ornamental element of the ensemble, transforming a functional solution into a motif of great decorative force.
