Iconic Cassina sofa, designed by Vico Magistretti in 1973. Considered one of the great icons of Italian design of the second half of the twentieth century, the model stands out for its innovative folding backrest, which allows you to change the height and adapt the comfort of the seat through a simple and functional gesture. The piece features an enveloping and generous structure, upholstered in thick black leather, which accentuates the emphatic and sophisticated character of the design.

The Maralunga, awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1979, is part of the history of contemporary furniture and remains one of Cassina's most recognizable models.

Vico Magistretti was an architect and designer, an essential figure in 20th century Italian design. He collaborated with firms such as Cassina, Artemide, Oluce or Kartell, developing a work characterized by formal clarity, functional intelligence and an elegant economy of means. His designs are represented in important international collections, including the MoMA in New York.
