Four-arm floor lamp designed and manufactured in Italy. The design perfectly represents the experimental and sculptural spirit of Italian post-war design, combining functionality, artistic expression and a careful selection of materials. The structure is made of brass, with lacquered metal lampshades in a vibrant chromatic composition of red, green, blue and yellow, supported by a solid marble base. Its four arms generate an architectural and dynamic presence, turning the lamp into an authentic sculptural element.
This piece resembles the creations of Biancardi & Jordan Arte, a prestigious Verona-based firm renowned for its innovative lighting production during the 1970s.
Biancardi & Jordan achieved international recognition for its unique handcrafted creations, associated with both Brutalist language and Italian Modernism. Their works are characterized by the combination of hand-worked metals and a marked search for lighting and volumetric effects. The firm is often compared to the famous Poliarte workshops, sharing the same desire for innovation and experimentation that defined the avant-garde of Italian lighting in the mid-20th century.
