Barovier & Toso, one of the most prestigious historical firms of Murano, was born in 1936 from the merger of Vetreria Artistica Barovier and Ferro Toso. Under the artistic direction of Ercole Barovier (1889-1974), the company achieved international recognition thanks to its technical innovations and the creation of some of the most emblematic series of modern Italian glass. For nearly five decades, Barovier drove a profound aesthetic renewal of the Murano tradition, developing finishes, colors and decorative effects that became benchmarks for later generations.
The "Lenti" series reflects the firm's ability to combine traditional craftsmanship and formal experimentation, giving rise to pieces of great visual richness and high collector's value. Today, Barovier & Toso's creations continue to be considered among the highest expressions of Murano glass art.
