DESCRIPTION
Pair of armchairs, “Peggy” model. ca. 1980–1990.
Cognac-colored leather upholstery.
Wooden legs.
They exhibit wear and some signs of use on the upholstery.
Measurements: 70 × 68 × 78 cm.
The “Peggy” model reflects the taste of the late 20th century for seating with enveloping lines, restrained proportions, and materials of great visual warmth. The curved backrest extends into wide, gently sloping armrests, creating a comfortable silhouette in which form takes precedence over any ornamental detail.
The cognac-colored leather is one of its main attractions. The large upholstered surfaces allow one to appreciate the color variations and the patina developed through use, while the stitching discreetly delineates the backrest, armrests, and seat. The dark wood legs are partially recessed, reducing their visual presence and making the upholstered section appear to rest lightly on the floor.
Its compact scale makes it easy to incorporate into spaces of very diverse dimensions. When arranged together, they create a balanced and welcoming conversation area, while the warm tone of the leather allows them to be paired with wood, stone, or contemporary furniture, lending the interior a understated and timeless presence.
