The color scheme of the front directly references the language of geometric abstraction and Neoplasticism, featuring a grid of rectangular panels in blue, red, green, orange, pink, and white, separated by dark lines and gold outlines. The composition extends across the top and sides, so that the entire piece shares the same graphic design.

The long horizontal handles run across the front and accentuate its linear structure, while the extremely slender legs, topped with small spheres, create striking hallmarks of contrast with the chest’s compact body. This relationship between a visually striking body and almost thread-like legs lends the design a special lightness and a marked sculptural presence.
