Its most distinctive feature is its large semicircular base, whose continuous curve is a hallmark of the strict horizontality of the drawer unit and lends the piece a particularly sculptural silhouette.

The vivid grain of the elm burl serves as the primary ornamental feature, arranged in a way that emphasizes the symmetry of the front.
