The lamp reflects the 1980s trend of transforming functional objects into structures with a strong sculptural presence. Its slender shaft is constructed from two parallel uprights joined by geometric blocks, creating a rhythm of solids and voids that reinforces the verticality and adds depth to the piece.

The open top, shaped like a large inverted triangular prism, concentrates the light and contrasts with the strict linearity of the base. This combination of elementary geometries, monumental proportions, and a dark finish aligns the piece with the Italian postmodern aesthetic, where lighting, architecture, and decorative objects tended to converge in designs with a distinctly graphic character.
