The Catalan architectural duo Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá, both born in 1924, were among the most prominent figures of the Modern Movement in the second half of the 20th century. Correa and Milá adhered to the principle that interior design and industrial design were integral parts of the same architectural project. As collaborators of José Antonio Coderch, they founded their own studio in 1953. They designed summer homes in Cadaqués, institutional and residential buildings, sports stadiums, factories, and offices; created interiors for the legendary restaurants FlashFlash and Il Giardinetto; and designed unique, iconic pieces to furnish their own projects and for furniture companies such as Gres.
