Juan Carlos Bejarano states in the catalog "Una mica d'escultura, si un plau! L'escultura europea del segle XX", "Twin brothers, sculptors and decorators, shared housing and workshop, and used to collaborate in the creation of works, so, they often signed simply as "Martel". Their production, inspired by Cubism and with a marked Art Deco accent, also included decorative projects for interior spaces, especially domestic settings. They were founding members of the Union of Modern Artists. They are the authors of the well-known "Monument to Claude Debussy", in the square of the same name in Paris, realized in 1932" (textual quotation).
