BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
French school; third quarter of the XIX century.
Patinated bronze.
Measurements: 20 x 23,5 x 11 cm.
Sculpture in round bulk made entirely in bronze that presents a young adolescent girl accompanied by a child. The little girl adopts a protective gesture passing her arm through the infant's back, while she takes the other hand to the chin attentive to the child's action. He is holding a rooster in his hands, which seems to be trying to attack another rooster at the base. Although the scene does not represent any classical myth, it is clearly inspired by this aesthetic, since the anatomies present a measured canon very much to the neoclassical taste.
