BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
Following models of MICHELANGELO BUONARROTI (Caprese, Italy, 1475-Rome, 1564), 19th century.
"Greenman".
Bronze.
Measurements: 32 x 21 x 2.5 cm.
The tender mask, which follows the models of the Greenman wall sculpture, captures all the beauty of the original Renaissance relief carved by Michelangelo as part of his design in honor of Lorenzo de Medici for the Laurentian Library in Florence. Like the original model, it is a perfect fusion of man and nature.
