Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet was a Belgian sculptor of the Art Deco period. Colinet was a student of the sculptor Jef Lambeaux in Brussels. After her training, she moved to Paris around 1910. In 1913 she exhibited for the first time at the Salon des Société des Artistes Français. The following year he received an honorable mention, as did Demétre Chiparus and Louis Comfort Tiffany. She continued to participate in exhibitions at the Salon des Artistes Francais in the following years and was elected a full member of the Société in 1929. Her last documented participation in these salons was in 1945. From 1937 to 1940, she also exhibited at the Paris Salon of the Société des Artistes Indépendants. She was also a member of the Union des femmes et peintres sculpteurs (Union of women painters and sculptors). Influenced by exoticism, Colinet executed her works in a detailed and fluid manner. Her chryselephantine figures in bronze and ivory often depicted highly dramatic scenes and showed the models in poses that often represented a snapshot of intricate dance steps. His statuettes were mainly produced at the Parisian art foundries Edmond Etling, Arthur Goldscheider, Barbedienne and Les Neveux de Jules Lehmann.
