This silver plated pewter tabletop tray/centerpiece, from the Art Nouveau period, is decorated with an exquisite relief of plant and flower ornamentation. The design is culminated on the right side with the figure of a nymph's head with long flowing hair. The piece is signed.
H. Luppens & Cie was a famous foundry in Brussels, Belgium, operating in the 19th century. They specialized in bronzes, furniture, clocks, clocks, ceiling lamps, etc. They made numerous high quality objects that can be found all over the world, from large clock sets to chandeliers.
