This vase, made entirely of pewter, is a paradigmatic example of the Art Nouveau style. Its design stands out for the harmony of its fluid forms and a markedly naturalistic aesthetic, capturing the essence of movement in every detail.
Marcel Debut was a French painter and sculptor, trained at the École des Beaux-Arts under the tutelage of his father, Didier Debut. A member of the Société des Artistes Français, Debut exhibited regularly at the Salon from 1883, where he received an honorable mention in 1895.
