DESCRIPTION

Dominique Christian Jan Masullo, born in Belgium to an Italian father and Belgian mother, is an artist deeply influenced by the intersection of cultures and personal memories. Although his roots are European, Dominique often describes his dreams and creative visions as originating from "somewhere else", reflecting a universal yet deeply personal approach to his art.

She founded Prince of Sun, a firm recognized for its uniqueness, standing at the intersection of functional art and decorative design. Although he began his artistic career with no prior knowledge of ceramics, he quickly became captivated by the unpredictability and organic essence of this medium. For Dominique, ceramics is more than a material: it is a living, vibrant force. He sees the creative process as an act of bringing life to inert matter, transforming clay into works that pulsate with energy and emotion. Over the years, she has honed her ability to push the boundaries of the medium, making it resonate and come alive through her hands.

Dominique's art is an ongoing exploration of the evolving possibilities of sculpture. She embraces ceramics as a medium for experimenting with form, often blurring the lines between functional objects and abstract sculpture. Everyday objects are reimagined, transcending their utilitarian purpose to become dynamic, shifting works of art.

Her pieces reflect an intimate dialogue between materiality and imagination, challenging conventional notions of what ceramics and sculpture can be. Dominique's work invites the viewer to experience not only the object itself, but also the vitality and life infused within it, demonstrating her belief that art has the power to transform and redefine our relationship with the world around us.
