"For centuries Morón lime has been one of the pillars of the Spanish artisan tradition, its texture, aesthetics and resistance make it an icon of today's decoration," says Vincent Van Duysen.
Van Duysen trained at the Sint-Lucas School of Architecture in Ghent. After graduating, he worked with Aldo Cibic in Milan, and later collaborated with Jean De Meulder in Antwerp, Belgium. In 1989, he founded Vincent Van Duysen Architects. Today, the studio has a team of more than 40 collaborators and its work ranges from product design for numerous international brands to large-scale and commercial architectural projects.
Throughout his career, Van Duysen has received multiple awards, including the Flemish Culture Award for Design, the Belgian Designer of the Year and the Henry van de Velde Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as an EDIDA Interior Designer of the Year. In 2021, VV Winery has also been nominated and shortlisted for the Mies Van Der Rohe Award. His name has also been included several times in the Architectural Digest network's AD100 survey and on Elle Decor's A-list.
In 2016, Van Duysen was appointed creative director of Italian brand Molteni&C, reshaping its global image through the design of flagship stores, exhibition stands and a series of new products.
