This jug by Jean Solá (active ca. 1900) is a testament to the mastery with which Art Nouveau transformed functional objects into collectible sculptures. With a deeply marine-inspired design, the piece features a conch-shaped body and a side handle sculpted like a triton. The composition is completed with the relief of an undine wrapped in flowing veils, achieving a perfect synthesis between human anatomy and the organic forms of nature.
